    missing screw
The bit holder arrived, in a little envelope, but it seemed to be without the little screw that attaches it to the drill. (A Milwaukee drill-driver.) Without the screw it's not of use. I'll try and find a screw somewhere, but it's not a common size or thread, so I don't know. A big hassle for such a tiny thing.

I received a Milwaukee drill driver and impact driver as a gift. The drill driver did not come with a belt clip to attach to your belt nor a bit holder. I attached the belt clip and bit holder on to the drill.

As a longtime Milwaukee tool owner, I have amassed a collection of different drills and impact drivers. My beef with Milwaukee is that most of these tools do not have a bit holder attached, even though there is provisions for one. Instead, most of my tools have a belt hook attached, which is never used. It just pulls my pants down, which is not very professional. I have tried contacting Milwaukee through all my usual hardware suppliers to get these bit holders. No on has been able to get any for me. When I ran the Milwaukee part number on the internet, eReplacement Parts had them in stock. I bought 10 of them. My favorite drills and drivers got 2 apiece, and I was able to gift a couple to my occasional helpers, who also complain about the lack of a bit holder. eReplacementParts has made a full crew happy. Thanks for stocking what I need!

Drive belt on mower come off and chewed off the hydro fan.

    Larry - October 5, 2020

Pliers, Power Drill, Socket set, Wrench Set, long 3/8\\

Mower is a Cub Cadet 1046M. Removed mower deck. removed battery and battery box. Used a 6" and 3" 3/8" extension with a 3/4" x 3/8" socket on a cordless impact drill with a 3/8" adaptor to remove the lock nut that holds the hydro fan in place with a specialized washer. Removed broken hydro fan and splined pulley directly under the fan. Removed 1 Phillip's screw that holds the belt keeper base plate in place. straightened out base plate and bent the belt keeper ears back to a 90 degree angle. reinstalled base plate. Raised front of mower with a mower jack. Used the cordless Impact wrench with a 15/16" x 3/8" socket to remove bolt that holds the mower drive belt pully in place. Removed deck belt pulley to expose front drive belt pulley. WORD OF CAUTION! There is a keyed spacer between the two pulleys be sure it comes down with the deck pulley or it can come off and hit you in the face. I learned this the hard way. Slide drive belt pulley down far enough to attach the drive belt ( it doesn't have to come all the way off. Slide drive belt pulley back in place put keyed spacer back in place followed by the deck pulley then reinstall the bolt that holds all of that in place. Next continue routing the drive pulley towards the back splined pulley. wrap back of belt around splined pulley then put rear pulley back on splined shaft coming out of transaxle. Route drive belt through the two belt idler pulleys. If you depress the clutch all the way it makes it possible to do by hand. It helps if someone can depress the pedal for you. Let mower deck back down and move it out of the way. I like to use anti seize compound on the threads of the splined shaft but that is optional. place new hydro fan over rear pulley install special lock washer followed by 3/4" lock nut. Tighten lock nut with impact wrench (do not overtighten) reinsert battery box followed by battery. reconnect battery cables. Put the mower deck back on and check that everything works like it should. This is fairly detailed if you have any basic mechanical knowledge you can do this. The impact wrench is worth it's weight in gold. it is possible to do this without one, but it sure does make the overall job easier. GOOD LUCK!
