It is a genuine OEM item that is designed for use on Weed Eater, Poulan and Husqvarna riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. The belt keeper helps to stabilize the belt with minimum friction on the belt itself. If your part is damaged or is missing, this will provide an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty component that was installed on a new unit. Check the appropriate diagrams for your model for the correct installation of this left-hand belt keeper. One durable metal part is included. Note, the right-hand belt keeper is sold separately. To perform this repair you will need a wrench set to take apart the deck.

Removed one bolt on each side of mower frame. Put belt through keeper. Reinstalled back to frame. Make sure keeper doesn't rub on engine pulley.

Just had to remove one bolt off using a socket .replace with a new belt keeper put new one on tighten bolt ran belt through new belt keeper and was done.
