Description:

This replacement part is a genuine OEM sourced component which is specially designed for use with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The ignition module also known as an armature-magneto provides electric current for the ignition system by producing pulses of high voltage for the spark plugs. It is made of high-quality metal with a rubber insulated wire and it is sold individually, please note the spark plug boot is sold separately.

Rat chewed thru spark plug wire

Tore everything apart and installed the new part. It didn't completely match the old part which kind of confused me as the picture showed the exact part I needed. But it all worked out and mower is back in running order.

The spark plug wire came out of the other side

At first I was worried that I had received the wrong coil as the wire was coming out the left side instead of looking like the OEM coil that came out the right side. The spark plug wire was long enough and the coil works great. The Magneto is providing power to the new spark plug so there is that. FYI there are two sides a Cylinder Side (Down) and the Up side which are marked on the coil. Hard to read black on black so be sure you understand that putting the coil on up side down will cause problems like it might not work.
