When pulling the orange red power lever back, the power didn't come on.
I went to the enterweb and saw that the answer was on YouTube. The video told what the problem was. I ordered the part from ereplacementparts.com. In about 3 days I got the part. I flipped my Black And Decker lawn mower over on it's back.I unscrewed the screws and the hold down bolt. The hold down bolt came off the nut with a medium size flat head screw driver and, the screws a small bladed flat head. Like the video showed, just take off one of the 4 connector at a time and swap from old switch the the new one. That keeps mistakes from happening. Then reverse the disassembly, placing the hold down bolt hole on the plastic assembly over the hole in the metal handle first.

Switch stopped working so replaced it.
Simply removed the screws holding the case on the handle. Helped to have the mower leaning on the porch steps so that the front of the mower was against the bottom step & the handle resting on the porch so I could take the back of the case off. Them I removed each wire clamp off individually and put on the new switch. And repositioned the wires back in place & put the case back on.:)

The mower would run only intermittently. There was also a burning smell.
The problem was that the switch had a burned contact.

I removed the plastic switch housing from the mower handle (one bolt). Then I opened the switch housing (several screws). I removed the old switch, moved the wires, one at a time, to the new switch, and placed the new switch back into the housing. The old switch lever and spring were actually OK, but I replaced them, too, since I had the switch housing apart. Closed the switch housing back up and put it back on the mower handle. Works fine, now.
