Description:
This genuine Dewalt replacement part is sold individually.
Switches are commonly replaced parts in power tools. A switch handles on/off, variable speed, forward and reverse functions.
They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity.
Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually requiring replacement.
Some common signs of a broken or failing switch are:
• The tool has completely stopped functioning.
• The tool operates intermittently, requiring multiple tries to turn on, until eventually it won’t turn on at all.
• The variable speed function and electric braking aren’t working properly.
• The forward/reverse is not working.

DEWALT IMPACT DWO56 WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 38.00 $ SWITCH AND THE 64.00 $ SWITCH ? ARE THEY INTERCHANGEABLE ?

Hello PEP,

It looks like the difference between the two switches is the forward/reverse lever. On the part number 152274-23 the lever is included, hopefully this is what yours looks like. On the part number 152274-15. The lever is not included. It is part number, 607100-00. And the switches are not interchangeable.

Hope this helps,
-WJA

Question: DC385 Saw

560430

The Dewalt parts list a 152274-15. My org. saw has the -11 in it, but won't go into high speed. You show a -11 switch in your stock. You also mention a -15 and the -23(cheaper) switch that will work. Can you tell me what I really need and what will work correctly. Thanks
Rod

Sounds to me like your switch is going bad. I'm guessing the problem will get worse until the switch becomes completely intermittent, then dead. It's an easy fix though, since all you have to do is replace the switch. For the Dewalt DW056 there are two switches available, part #152274-15 which does not come with the fwd/rev slider, and part #152274-23 which does come with the fwd/rev slider. Interestingly, the switch that comes with the slider is WAY cheaper so I'd go with that one.
