Thanks to ereplacements my 37 year old Echo PB400E Backpack Blower is working once again! I thought it was going to be the end of the road for my trusty, old friend. I was sure that the time had come for me to buy a new blower. Especially, since my local lawnmower repair shop told that they no longer work on any 2-cycle engines due to the availability of parts coming from China. I took it home and decided to try and troubleshoot the problem myself. I was successful in finding the culprit causing the problem. It was the on/off kill switch that was bad. I began my search for a new one and thankfully ereplacements had the exact replacement part. My antique Blower is back in business and ready to give me another 37 years! Thanks again ereplacements!

Hard to start - was told by local repairman that it was probably the on/off switch being worn out.

Replaced some worn-out parts on an old machine. Blower is out-of-production, and repair is preferable to replacement with inferior newer model.

Removed 10mm nuts from rubber isolators connecting the frame to the engine. Disconnected fuel line, and separated the frame from the engine. Removed the 4 screws connecting the old plywood backed-cushion to the frame, and replaced with the new cushion. With pliers, I switched the old on/off switch with the new one. The switch/throttle bracket needed to be removed to replace the lead wire by removing the 4 screws. The new nylon plug was replaced with a phillips screwdriver.
