I just looked at the part and saw that it fit on the frame of the machine(not to mention it looked identical), saw how it was attached. Scrolled a line before loosening the plate, loosened the old worn shave plate, attached replacement piece using scroll line as position, had to enlarge the slots where the bolts attach thru the plate,tightened them bolts down. And all none too quick, for 12 hours later, I was blowing the snow off the sidewalks and driveways in my neighborhood. What an easy repair.

Very simple fix with just a socket and ratchet. The holes on the new shave plate lined up perfectly. Took about 10 minutes to get the old one off and the newone back on. If you do need to replace this part ereplacements also has a video on youtube if you aren't quite sure how to do it. Great price also for the part.

The shave plate is held on by 4 square-collared bolts.
I removed the nuts from the bolts, pulled out the bolts, removed the worn shave plate.
I then reversed the order of the steps to install the new shave plate.
Since the bolts and nuts were rusted from use and the elements,
I replaced all 4 nuts and bolts with new ones.
I purchased those at a nearby bolt and screw supply store for less than $2.
The same bolts on eReplacement Parts
