This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement insert ring set designed for use with Bosch routing tables. Inserts reduce splintering and chip-out on the cuts. It also prevents thin slices of wood from jamming in between the blade and the plate during a cut. If an insert is missing or damaged it needs to be replaced. No tools are needed to replace these inserts, simply take out the old ones and replace them with the new ones.

Just replaced the part. The router insert had three tabs that held the insert in the router table. The tabs were broken, due to user error, and the insert was replaced.

I first inleted the space I needed to fit the plate into on the extension on my table saw. I then cut out the middle section. I installed the plate and then the router. Works like a charm.

Updating my home made router table, installed adapter plate.

Purchased a new Bosch router for my home made router table. Purchased the Bosch adapter plate and installed it in the table. Used the router to cut out the 3/8" deep insert to drop in the plate. This is a GREAT improvement over the old setup that I had. The Bosch router & Bosch adopter plate work great together. Could not be happier with this set up.

The original router table insert had worn out as I had removed and reinstalled it too many times - changing router bits. The plastic retaining tabs wear down.
