Would not build pressure. Drain cock lever broken

Tear down revealed broken gasket. Cylinder was heavily glazed so decided to replace rings. General cleaning. Honed cylinder and rebuilt. Only doubt was if it was important which direction the oil port on the connecting rod should face. Choice was to place it towards the eccentric crank driven by the motor. Care has to be taken in replacing the spring steel flapper valves and plates as the exhaust valve can easily be nudged out of place when stacking the plates and gaskets. On the first startup it would not build sufficient pressure so I re-stacked the valves, plates and gaskets again, with success. Adjusted cut-in pressure. A good job site compressor that I've had for 15 years. It strains when spraying HVLP.
