compressor runs constantly, would this be the cause

Hi rudy123,
No not unless air is leaking from the regulator.I sounds like you have bad reed valves or piston ring problem.If you turn the compressor on and let it run a little does it build any pressure? and if so when you shut it off do you hear air leaking?
