Product Description ?

It is an authentic Homelite ignition module also known as an armature-magneto is specially designed for use with chainsaws. The purpose of this part is to produce the pulses of high voltage for the spark plugs. It is made out of metal with a rubberized wire and the spark plug boot. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver set.

    Socket set, Torx driver, 0.010 shim for Air Gap, Jumper wire with clips

    1. Pulled Spark Plug, checked gap and plug condition, all OK.
    2. Grounded plug to engine fins with jumper wire, pulled cord and found no spark.
    3. After part Arrived, Pulled side cover off using T30' ? Torx Bit to remove screws
    4. Removed old Coil and installed new coil, also checked flywheel then set air gap.
    5. Replaced covers, using original plug it fired right up on first pull and was good to go.
    6. Completed with new plug and air filter, also have about an hour run time so far and all OK.
    Note; Part ordered was correct and was at a great price, shipping fee was also low and fairly fast.
    I would vote 5 Stars. But I do not sign up to 3rd parties just to supply a rating, Thanks to eReplacementParts for the timely and reasonable shipping and great parts prices..

    No spark and engine won't start

    Nutdriver, feeler guage or business card

    Remove starter pulley assembly
    Remove ignition module (check the gap between the module and the flywheel magnet
    Install new ignition module checking the gap between the module and the flywheel magnet
    A business card can be used for this.
    Tighten screws
    Replace the starter pulley assembly cover
    Test for spark

    my chainsaw wouldnt start after being used.

    I took the top off then i removed the starter rope,then i removed the coil,i put a piece of cardboard from a box of pasta,then i removed the cardboard after i tighten the screws,I then started the chainsaw and worked perfectly.

    Not generating a spark

    Removed housing that covered spark plug.
    Removed side panel/starter pull rope assembly.
    Removed and replaced ignition module and switch
    Replaced side panel/starter pull rope assembly.
    Replaced spark plug housing.
    Just make sure the ignition module is installed at proper spacing from flywheel.

    Pulled plastic shielding off recoil.
    Removed old ignition module.
    Put on new ignition module and gapped to .010 thousandths against flywheels magnets.
    Replaced plastic recoil shielding.
