The repair went smoothly and was not a difficult one except that after I broke the handle and cover I didn't notice some of the screws were still in some of the broken parts when I threw them away. Keep them because new screws do not come with the new handle and cover.

Place saw on a bench at a comfortable working height and remove the screws from the old handle and discard the outer shell then remove two retainer screws that hold the power cord be sure to save the screws as you will need them to reassemble. The new handle the nuts were in the handle I received be sure to check yours to insure they are there if not remove from old handle simply put the new handle in place and screw it back together and your saw is good to go. NOTE: This also a good time to check all the wires inside the handle for wear if it is damaged a new power cord is a good idea to keep your saw safe and productive.
