Product Description ?

This guard assembly is specially manufactured for Black and Decker string trimmers. It is a genuine OEM sourced item, not an aftermarket imitation. This part helps to direct grass trimmings away from the user as well as provide protection from the cutting string while unit is in operation. This plastic guard assembly is sold individually.

Replacing this guard is a simple task that should only require a screwdriver.

• Slide the guard onto the motor housing
• Make sure the tabs on the guard engage the ribs on the motor housing
• Continue to slide the guard on until you hear it "snap" into place
• Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the screw from the guard
• Insert the guard screw to complete the guard assembly

The part was easy to find with the model number. Ordering was easy and part fitted perfectly. Maybe an enhancement would be to explain a little more that removal of the old guard required removal of a plastic clip as well as the screw.

Due to rain, I haven't had an opportunity to use the Grass Trimmer. But attaching the Guard Assembly was quite easy. Remove one screw then the old guard, install the new guard with the screw.
