This grommet/cord protector is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part. It is commonly used on a variety of Bosch power tools. Power tool cords undergo a lot of stress, and these grommets/guards help to alleviate some of that stress at the weakest point where the cord enters the tool. Over time cord guards will deteriorate and eventually require replacement. Please note, this rubber grommet is sold individually.
Replacing this cord grommet is a simple task that should only require a screwdriver.
• Make sure the tool is unplugged
• Remove the cover screws
• Remove the cover
• Disconnect power cord wires
• Pull the cord out through the grommet
• Put the cord through the new grommet
• Connect power cord wires
• Reassemble the housing
