Parts Used
2 Slide out old Lower drive shaft from the top of the lower tube.
3 Inspect the inside of the lower gear making sure there is not any broken pieces from the old lower drive shaft.
4 Slide new lower drive shaft down the tube until the shaft protrudes the bottom of the shaft'
5 Feed the shaft into the gear making sure the drive shaft is seated all the way in the gear.
6 Push the tube all the way down into the lower gear making sure the hole lines up with the tube and lower gear.
7 Reinstall the bolt into the gear and tube.
8 Check the lower gear by turning it by hand to make sure it's not binding and turns freely.
9 Connect the tube to the trimmer and you should be good to go.
