Removed the broken parts and replaced them with new ones. Not rocket science, but keep track of where all the bolts go. Might take a few photos as you disassemble, and keep small parts together. Nice to have the saw back in operation. Highly recommend eReplacementParts as a source. Easy to navigate the web site, reliable service.

Rope broke and a plastic piece inside my starter housing so I just bought the whole assembly so much faster than messing with the spring.
