Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, electrical connectors and crimper, heat shrink tube

1. hoist rear end of Troy RTZ50 ABOUT 18" OFF THE FLOOR
2. disconnect power wires to clutch
3. remove bolt in center of clutch pully assembly
4. remoce blade belt from clutch pulley
5. removed clutch
6. cut plug off of wiring harness and new clutch
7. add about 8" wire and new plug to new clutch
8. add new plug to wiring harness
9. install new clutch on end of engine crankshaft
NOTE: I replaced electrical plug. It had corrosion on the contacts and was in a poor location (under the mower and behind the deck). I purchased a 2 wire electrical gasketed plug assembly from an autocrats store and relocated it beside the battery behind the seat.
