I don’t understand why Ariens or other snowblower manufacturers couldn’t use. STANDARD bulb type, but this was an exact replacement. Thank you!

    , None needed.

Easy replacement. Quarter turn to remove old bulb, unplug wires, put new bulb in place and opposite quarter turn to lock in place, reconnect wire plug and done. It was a little awkward because I didn't remove a control lever/rod that was a little bit in the way.

    Headlight out, gas cap clogged

Headlight replacement was straightforward. It is NOT a standard halogen bulb.
The fuel cap was the original, carbon filled cap that would no longer vent, causing the engine to stall (I suspect moisture had frozen inside the carbon filled cap). The replacement did not come with a tether strap, but I was able to “adapt” the original tether by drilling a small hole and threading the cable onto the new cap.
