1. Removed the belt cover and then the bolts holding the auger housing to the engine housing and hinged the auger away from the engine.
2. Removed the old belt pieces and the double pulley from the shaft mount. Backed the shaft mount screw out half an inch.
3. Used a steering wheel puller and three bolts to pull the pulley shaft mount from the auger drive shaft by pressing on the shaft mount screw.
4. Removed the bolts holding the horizontal auger shaft from each side of the auger housing and removed the bolts from the auger gear box and the support bracket. Slid the auger assembly out of the housing.
5. Removed the old bearing brackets. Removed rusty areas on the housing followed by priming and two coats of matching paint to inhibit further rust.
6. Installed the new sealed bearing using new brackets but left the bearing loose in the brackets. Slid the auger assembly back in place and installed all the mounting screws finger tight.
7. Tightened the bearing brackets and auger mounting bolts and checked free rotation of the auger.
8. Installed the pulley shaft mount after applying white lithium grease. Installed the double pulley wheel.
9. Hinged the auger housing and engine housing back together and bolted it in place.
10. Loosened the tension adjustment bracket on the belt idler and installed the new belts.
11. Tightened the tension adjustment idler until they would engage and disengage properly with the control lever.
12. Put the belt housing cover back on and tested the operation.
