2) Remove tank inlet fitting (Slotted nut) from fill basin.
3) Lift fill basin off of tank and remove silicone gasket ("washer) from tank. It may be stuck to the bottom of the fill basin.
4) Peel front decal with "Exacto Knife" or razor blade to completely remove decal to expose ready light mounting hole on front bezel.
5) Remove four screws from thermostat cover to expose the thermostat.
6) Apply replacement decal that has ready light hole to front bezel in place of old decal.
7) Install ready light indicator lamp into front bezel and hold the front of the indicator lamp while threading and tightening the nut to secure the lamp. It should just be snug. Over-tightening will damage the lamp or bow the mounting hole.
8) Carefully attach both female spade connectors (wires supplied with ready light) to indicator lamp terminals by pushing them straight on so as not to bend or damage the terminals. Important: lightly tug on the wires to ensure that they are securely seated into the connector and NOT between the insulator and connector!
9) Plug ready light wire harness into ready light indicator lamp connectors that were installed in the previous step. Lightly tug on connectors to verify that they are securely fastened.
10) Route wires along side of the warmer switch wires on the left side of the machine away from the siphon tube and any sharp sheet metal edges. Use cable ties to bundle the wires. Feed ready light wires down to the thermostat terminals (The ready light will be connected across the thermostat terminals).
11a) If the thermostat has spade terminals, simply unplug the thermostat wires and connect the ready light harness into the thermostat terminals. Then plug the thermostat wires onto the spare terminals on the harness connector.
11b) If the thermostat has ring terminals secured by screws, then you will have to cut the female spade terminals off of the ready light harness and replace with ring terminals. Attach the thermostat leads to the thermostat terminals so the the ready light wires are on top of the thermostat wires.
12) Replace front panel and reinstall screws so that they are snug.
13) Place silicone tank inlet gasket back on tank inlet.
14) Place fill basin back on top of inlet gasket and thread inlet fitting (Large slotted nut) into tank inlet. Do NOT over tighten. "Hand tight with pliers".
15) Slide top cover back on the machine so that the metal tab in the rear of the cover fits into the slot on the back of the machine.
16) Reinstall the stainless steel screw.
Functional check of ready light:
1)Plug unit into wall outlet.
2) When thermostat is closed (Thank heater is on), the light should NOT come on.
3) When tank reaches brewing temperature, the thermostat should open with an audible click (Shut of the thank heater) and the ready light should illuminate, indicating the unit is ready to brew.
