Product Description ?

This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is specially designed for MTD and Troy-Bilt lawn tractors. It is one of the wheel assemblies that were originally installed on a new unit. Refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model to ensure the correct repair procedure. Keep in mind this high-quality assembly includes one durable wheel with a rubber tire and a metal rim A wrench will be needed to remove and resecure the hardware. Note, the hardware to secure the wheel is sold separately.

Jacked up front of mower
Placed jack stands under frame
Removed old wheel assemblies using socket set
Checked air pressure of new wheels
Removed sleeves from old wheels and placed in new wheels
Added grease in sleeves of wheels
Placed new wheels and using socket set
Jacked up front of mower to remove jack stands
Lowered front of mower and removed jack
Returned all tool to shop

The left front tire was worn and would not stay inflated. I ordered a new tire with wheel

Screwdriver, Socket set, Adjustable Wrench, Hammer

1. Removed old wheel & tire.
2. Removed two inserts from old wheel, which were used to reduce the wheel axle Inter Diameter, & Reinserted them into the new wheel axle. (Needed the hammer & screwdriver to remove the axle reducer inserts from the old wheel and reinstall in the new wheel.)
3. Reinstalled the new wheel, tire using the axle bolt and nuts.

Wheel needed replacement

Lifted the mower and placed a jack stand underneath it
Removed the bolt and nut from the old wheel, then installed the new one with the nut and bolt.
