Description:

This is an authentic replacement v-belt that is supplied directly from the original manufacturer for use with walk-behind lawn mowers. It is the main belt that drives the blade, over time belts tend to wear out and stretch eventually requiring replacement. When replacing this belt make sure to clean the pulleys off to ensure top performance and the longevity of the new belt. Please note this durable rubber belt is sold individually.

New belt needed

Remove the front transmission cover. Loosen the screw on the transmission and push it forward. Remove the belt from the transmission pulley Remove the blade. Remove the belt from the drive pulley and pull the old belt out. Slide the new belt to the front of the mower, then put the belt on the drive pulley. and the transmission pulley, Then pull back the transmission and tighten the screw. Put the blade back on and the front transmission cover.

Belt had stretched

Removed belt cover by hand. Pushed the drive transmission and removed belt. Installed in reverse.

Mower was losing forward drive.

Removed two plastic rivets and the cover slid off. Removed old belt, installed new, didn't even have to remove the blade. Spent more time cleaning under the deck than doing the repair.
