    Open up the drill housing by removing all screws than remove the damage switch take a photo before that to make sure the connectors were installed in the same position replaced the new switch test after repair drill fix and working to factory specs (make sure to install the connectors properly if not you will have to pay or buy another one)

    1. Opened drill by removing screws.
    2. Replaced switch paying careful attention connect wiring to proper connectors.
    3. Reassembled drill, snapped in charged battery.
    4. Tested drill. Operates like new.

    Cordless drill trigger switch broke

    Removed the battery
    Remove the screw from the housing
    Took a picture of all of the internal parts
    Made a wiring diagram
    Disconnected the wires from the old switch, then connected them to the new switch
    Screw the housings together
    Inserted the battery
    Drill worked as it should

    Trigger switch went out on my Makita cordless drill

    The installation was extremely easy. Remove the screws from the housing, remove one half of the housing being careful to not let any parts fall out. Remove the wires from the old switch and connect the wires to the new switch. The switch came with a wiring caution which was a very helpful hint as to not damage the switch. My drill is back on line, thank you!
