Switch was dying it worked intermittently so replaced it.
Remove top cover, remove switch, noting how it is wired. Blow out dust from inside of the sander. Install switch. Not much of a challenge really

The Sander kept shutting off after about a minute of use. I kept turning it back on by way of switch. I figured it had to be one of the switch's
Removed faulty switch. Replaced faulty switch. Same problem.... The plastic slide that rides over the micro switch was the culprit. It kept sliding to the off position. I had to shave a little plastic portion of slide to get micro switch to stay on. Worked Great.
Next I replaced the faulty Circuit Board Assembly and Variable speed switch. This was definitely bad. Put it all back together and works great.

Sander slowed down and finally quit all together.
Simply read the tips, on the web site , about checking operation of the switch.
Took longer to read the tips and do the testing than it took to make the repair, very simple installation.
Screws holding the cover were torx drive and very firmly installed. Torx screwdriver stripped the head out on three out of four screws. Fortunately the screws also had a slot for a flat blade drive which allowed removal.
$4.00 switch salvaged a $70 sander.

Sander wouldn't run
1. Opened top cover and removed switch control bar
2. Removed wires from switch with pliers
3. Replaced switch
4. Replaced wires on new switch with pliers
5. Replaced switch control bar and replaced top cover
6. Started sanding

Switch went bad
Remove top cap of sander. Look to see where all the parts are located,. Like the actuator and spring. Look how the switch is wired. Remove switch and connect wires to the new switch. Then screw the top cap back on.
