This is an individually sold part and is made of rubber. It is recommended that the belt is replaced every 3-6 months as part of regular maintenance to keep your machine running at peak performance.

The filter slides on cover over the float, The belt cover had to be removed. Pull out the roller and belt comes with it. Remove the old belt. I cleaned up the roller. Put new belt over motor shaft and over correct end of roller. Align roller ends with slots and stretch out belt as you insert roller ends into slots. Replace cover.

Dirt Devil needed general cleaning and maintenance. I replaced the Brush Roller Assembly and its drive belt for good measure. Works like new now.
Bissell Spot Lifter would not function. There was a broken "clutch" in the Brush Cartridge which had to purchased as an assembly. Replaced Cartridge drive belt at the same time. The repair was a success.
Replacing the parts took less than 15 minutes on each unit, however, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly took an additional 2 hours for both machines.
