Product Description ?

This is an authentic OEM sourced component which is specially designed for use with Craftsman trimmers. This is the assembly that is used to pull-start the engine. It includes the plastic shroud, the starter pulley, the starter spring, and the pull rope with the grip. Note, the hardware to attached the assembly is sold separately. Please make sure to check the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct installation of this part.

    It was exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I installed it, I was able to pull start my weed whacker with no problems. My old one was worn out and would not recoil back the string inside.

    Weed Whacker pull rope wouldn't recoil back inside the shroud

    Removed 4 Torx/Star Head bolts on the old shroud. Placed new shroud on and used old bolts. Fit perfect. Pull started it within 3 try's it fired up. Very easy install and was exactly what I needed.

    Remove old shroud with 6 bolts and installed new one tighten all bolts back Simple fix Took 10 minutes at most

    Removed 8 screws from recoil assembly and removed it. Placed e-replacement part on and installed screws. Complete in 10 min.

    The return spring broke in the starter
