The reciprocating saw has a shoe assembly that pivots up and down in both directions to ensure the shoe is flat against the cutting surface at all times. The adjustable shoe also slides in and out, which allows for the use of the blade teeth at different positions on the blade. Please note this part is made from high quality metal and it is sold individually.

Nothing to it. Put in new shoe and tightened it down. Will be doing another as soon as shoe comes in. Other tools will be repaired soon. Great source for replacement parts!!
