Product Description ?

This genuine OEM sourced replacement part which is specially designed for use with Milwaukee abrasive cut-off machines. The armature is the central component of an electric motor. It is composed of a steel shaft, copper windings, and a series of commutator bars (through which the carbon brushes transfer electricity). If the tool is overloaded, the copper windings can become extremely hot. If this occurs repeatedly, the insulation surrounding the windings can melt and the armature will fail. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the proper repair procedure.

(checking that every thing looks good!) now remove 4 screws holding motor on, ( gently feeding the wires through the holes!) gently pull the armature, if it doesn't come right of don't move back and forth much! will damage bearing housing! with center punch tap (not wack) from the blade side! just keep tapping and pulling tell it comes free, you can reuse the bearings if not damaged!!than do all these step in reverse to put back together!! taking care not to damage brushes very brittle

Screwdriver, Power Drill, Socket set, Wrench Set

Removed motor from the saw housing.
Removed bearings from old armature ( maybe should have ordered new bearings to replace the old but decided too late, order was already in...)
Installed bearings on new armature and installed in motor housing.
Installed unit back in saw housing ( did it twice for practice and installing parts forgot first time...)
Installed new brush holders, brushes and springs. Adjusted spring tension to hold brushes in place.
Finished putting everything back together.
Tested saw. Had to readjust brush springs a couple of times to cut down on sparking.
Used saw several times with no problem.
Nice to get all parts needed from one place and fast shipping.
