Selector switch was leaking water after steaming. Ceramic internal orfice plate was found to be cracked.

Parts Used
1) Removed top plastic cover (cup tray) by removing 2 screws on each side of the group head (upside down) and 3 screws on top of the back cover, leaving the 2 on the edges of the rear cover in place.
2) Removed the plate holding the 2 small diameter high pressure hoses on the selector switch in place and pulled them free.
3) Located and kept track of the red o-rings for these hoses when removing the hoses. They may stay in the old switch but they must be carefully removed and kept.
4) Removed the silicone drain hose from the selector switch by using pliers to open up the metal clip holding the hose in place.
5) Removed the exterior plastic selector switch knob by depressing the nylon tab from inside the unit and gently levering the knob off.
6) Removed the ground wire from the selector switch base plate.
7) Removed the steam wand from the selector switch with an adjustable wrench. Force used will be transferred to 3 small screws holding the switch to the interior plastic housing. I suggest that the force used be limited to keep the interior plastic from breaking. If it is too tight to come off using a judicious amount of force (mine could not safely be loosened) see Step 10.
8) Removed the 3 screws holding the selector switch in place. Use a magnetic screwdriver to hold on to these as they get loose.
9) Removed the 2 micro switches from the selector switch.
10) Removed selector switch from machine (along with steam wand if it was not removable in Step 7. Steam wand can be pulled up and out along with the selector switch as long as the rubber steam wand insulator is lubricated (use silicone grease if possible) to allow it to pass through the plastic housing. Compress rubber and pull up slowly and steadily Selector switch base plate can then be placed in a vice when the wand is broken free with an adjustable open ended wrench.
REASSEMBLY: Reverse steps in order. Be sure to reapply lubricant to the steam wand insulator to allow for passage through the plastic housing hole. Or, install the wand after the selector switch is secured with its 3 screws. Be careful not to overtighten as the 3 screws are in plastic and we do not want to crack the plastic when tightening the wand in place.
NOTE: I suggest that all screws and o-rings etc. are identified and labeled as they are removed, in order. Clear taping them to a piece of paper allows for easy identification and reassembly later. Some identical looking screws are stainless steel while others are not and getting the same ones back in the same places will help prevent rusting.
