    Air leaked from top of nail gun

    Screwdriver, 5MM allen wrench

    Removed the 4 cover bolts.
    Removed what remained of old seal.
    Cleaned out debris from old seal.
    Installed new seal in recess in cover making sure orientation of new seal was correct,
    Installed cap with bolts.
    Tested and leak was gone nail gun functioned properly.

    Would not fire nails and continuous air leak

    After the repair the gun would fire nails but the piston would not return to the top. I found that there was this very small additional air seal above it that is now discontinued to make it return. I was able to use a cabinet drawer silicon button bumper as a temporary seal. I’ll see how long that works I may make one out of sheet rubber or something else at a later date if it fails again.

    Removed the top housing, removed the worn seal, installed the new seal, then replaced the top housing.
