Product Description ?

This sander pad is a genuine Porter-Cable replacement part. Over time, sander pads will wear and begin to deteriorate due to use. This sander pad will be a direct replacement for your worn out pad.

This #13700 sander pad has a smooth sanding surface for use with adhesive (sticky) sandpaper. It is not compatible with hook and loop (velcro) style sandpaper. This sander pad is 5" in diameter and it does not have vacuum holes.

    I don't know the type of my sander. The serial number is 092097. Can you tell me if it's type 1, 2 or 3 so I can order the correct sanding pad. The pad says "cat no 13700 standard pad". No type indication anywhere

    Put the 692900 wrench behind the pad, held the wrench with one hand and threaded off the damaged pad with the my other hand. Reversed to attach the new pad.

    Put wrench on spindle to lock turn pad frame, removed. Installed new pad by screwing onto threaded spindle. Tightened. All done. Back in fine working order.

    Remove old pad using open end wrench supplied with the tool. Place it behind the pad. Remove the old pad and then install the new one. Easy!

    Tightened with 5/8 wrench.
    Attached adhesive disc and completed project.

    I slid an adjustable wrench behind the pad and onto the sander’s hex shaft.
    I then held the wrench in one hand and unscrewed the pad with the other hand.
    To install the new pad:
    With the wrench still in place the new pad is screwed onto the shaft.
