    Screwdriver, Hex Wrench

    1. Removed the outer blade balance with a Hex wrench.
    2. Removed the old saw blade.
    3. Removed the inner blade balance by prying with a screwdriver.
    4. Removed the spring clamp.
    5. Removed the broken part of the safety cover.
    6. Installed the new safety cover.
    7. Installed the spring Clamp.
    8. Installed the inner blade balance.
    9. Installed the new saw blade.
    10. Installed the outer blade balance with a Hex wrench.

    Skill saw safety cover casting broke due to material wound up and jammed on the arbor.

    Pliers, Wrench Set

    1. Ordered replacement part.
    2. Used long-nosed pliers to work material jammed & wound on arbor off.
    3. When Socket head screw was uncovered, loosened & removed it using an Allen wrench.
    4. Removed saw blade to uncover retaining snap ring.
    5. Used long nose pliers to open snap ring & remove it. (Did not have standard snap ring pliers.) (Use extreme care when opening a snap ring. The ring can spring loose becoming a missile that can hurt or damage you and/or others.).
    6. Removed remnants of safety cover and replaced it with new.
    7. Replaced snap ring. again using long-nosed pliers.
    8. Re-installed saw blade using Allen wrench.
