Rice cooker insert lost nonstick coating with years of use and not using correct utensils

Remove rice cooker insert and replace it with replacement removable pot. Be sure to always hand wash, and use wooden and non-stick utensils exclusively to preserve the coating on the pot. (The old pot could be used as a planter.) I love this rice cooker ( in spite of having an instant pot). I use it to make macaroni and cheese, whole grain cereals, steam vegetables ( you could also steam open letters), and homemade applesauce. Look online for recipes and the many other uses for this fabulous rice cooker.
