This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement starter assembly, it is specially designed for use with Powermate and Southland lawn and garden equipment. It is the mechanism which allows a user to pull-start the engine, over time components may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. It is a complete assembly which includes the durable plastic housing, the starter pulley, the starter spring and the pull rope with the grip. Please note the hardware to secure it is sold separately.

Simple three bolt on repair. The replacement was pre-wound. All I had to do was put it on the machine.
The replacement part works better than the original. Smoother, winds all the way back into the starter assembly after pulling. The original had problems from day one.

1. Removed starter assembly from the machine (3 nuts).
2. Replaced starter assembly with new assembly by lining up the nuts and reattaching the assembly.
3. Machine started on first pull
