When u buy a new pump is there a break in period on pump
John for model number Vt510702jy asked on 2022-02-19
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. It is usually recommended to let the pump run for 20 minutes to a half hour to seat the piston rings properly. We hope this helps.

Removed the old pump, had to use the conversion kit I purchased to change from two line to single line. Had to press the flywheel off the old pump and press it on to the new pump, simple and easy to do.

I replaced the comp pump, belt, and conversion kit for the unloaded valve. Put synthetic mobile 1 in the compressor pump a 10 w30 wait and it operated flawlessly and was quieter than the old pump which sustained a broken crankshaft but it ran for 23 years moderately to hard operation! Thx for the new parts! It was very affordable and cheaper than buying a new air compressor!
