When the nut was removed from the pulley shaft, the threads stripped on the shaft, requiring a replacement shaft. The big problem was that the threads in the nut were also damaged, and the nut in not available anywhere. Being a metric, left hand thread, we had to take a small abrasive wheel on a Dremel, and carefully restore the threads on the nut. Luckily, it worked well enough to get it threaded on the new shaft. Dodged a bullet there.
