Product Description ?

This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement primer bulb assembly designed for use with Homelite and Ryobi handheld lawn and garden equipment. This bulb system allows user to get fuel into the carburetor for cold starting. At some time the primer will lose its elasticity or crack requiring replacement. It is made from flexible rubber material in a plastic housing and it is sold individually.

    Use the hand screw to remove the cover that houses the screen filter and primer bulb. Take care of the little gasket. Remove the two fuel lines from the old primer bulb. Small needle nose pliers work nicely. Take a thin bladed screwdriver and pop out the old primer bulb. Snap in the new primer bulb taking care to note the position of the old bulb. Reattach the fuel lines. Reattach the cover. My blower started right up after I installed a new spark plug and this new primer bulb

    Easy repair, first disconnected the spark plug wire. Disconnect the fuel lines, then remove the primer from the air box base and secure the new one in place. Reattach fuel lines and the spark plug wire.

    Fuel lines broke and primer cracked

    1. Detached fuel lines from fuel tank to primer.
    2. Remove screws holding fuel tank to blower.
    3. Remove fuel tank.
    4. Attach new fuel tank.
    5. Remove carburetor cover from back of blower.
    6. Remove cracked primer from bracket using the two clips on the back of primer.
    7. Attach new primer to bracket.
    8. Re-attach fuel lines primer from fuel tank.
    9. Re-attach carburetor cover.

    Remove the fuel lines from the primer assembly, remove the primer from the air box base. Install the new primer, then hook up the fuel lines.

    Gasoline priming bulb leaked excessively

    1. Using Torx driver remove two screws on top cover
    2. Raise top cover to see back of priming bulb and two fuel lines
    3. Note location that fuel lines come from and what ports on priming bulb the lines attach to
    4. Using flat blade screwdriver push tabs that hold priming bulb in place down
    5. Pull out priming bulb
    6. Using needle nose pliers removed gas lines from nipples on priming bulb
    7. Take replacement priming bulb and install gas lines on to using pliers
    8. Push priming bulb into plastic bracket
    9. Reinstall top cover and tighten screws.

    Primier bulb failed

    Took off top cover squeezing the locks on the primier bulb pulled thru took hoses off discarded and put new one in and put new air filter in and changed plug then put cover back on.
