  • Compressor shuts off now
    Was given this compressor (15 gal DeWalt) from a friend and he told me the only thing that was wrong with was it did not shut off automatically so be careful. I went ahead and did some quick research and purcgasedan this replacement pressure switch. Very simple to replace. Works great now! Part was packaged nicely and shipped pretty quickly.

    None of the pressure switches of any of this model number looked like the one that's on the one I have it has no cover on it the pressure switch. I can send a picture.

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Wrench Set

    1. Unplugged compressor.
    2. Removed handle from compressor for easier access to switch.
    3. Removed cover from switch and disconnected wiring.
    4. Disconnected air lines (2) from switch.
    5. Removed switch from tank.
    6. Removed pressure safety relief valve from switch for reuse.
    7. In reverse order, installed new switch and made appropriate connections.
    I reused safety valve after inspection and installed new clamp on hose from tank.
