Product Description ?

This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with air compressors. The pressure switch is used to activate the motor when the pressure in the tank drops below the set pressure amount, and to turn off the motor when the pressure in the tank meets the setting. This pressure switch is sold as an individual replacement part.

Compressor would not shut off upon reaching max tank pressure

Screwdriver, Pliers

Remove compressor unit from chassis framework.
Split compressor module in half by removing deep seated case screws.
Locate pressure switch, and replace with new one.
New switch has working pressure range 20 P.S.I lower than old one. The working pressure range has been lowered by redesign and is stamped on the switch body.
Reassemble in reverse order including reconnecting hoses with new clamps
Test unit before permanently remounting in frame chassis unit
If unit shuts down at proper tank pressure, finish reassembly and you are done

Manifold was broken, gauges were damaged, pressure switch no longer worked. While I was repairing the unit, I also replaced all the hoses because there was a cut in one of them.
Someone had really mistreated this compressor, but it ran very well after the repairs
