Questions & Answers

I removed a broken reducer by taking off pressure gauge. Adjusting knob had broken off so unscrewing was easy. However, while attempting to screw on the new identical part, there was insufficient clearance between reducer and top compressor tank. It seems to me the adjusting knob needs to come off in order to get clearance so I can tighten reducer. Help?
Stephen for model number EC 89 asked on 2019-07-26
Hi Stephen, Thank you for your question. Here is some installation information that you may reference to see if this helps, "Unplug unit from the electrical outlet. Empty all the air pressure in the unit by releasing the air out through the pressure relief valve. Unscrew the old pressure regulator. Re-coat the threads on the existing pipe where the new pressure regulator will be reattached. After all has been reinstalled. Plug in the compressor and turn it on. Check for air leaks. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
Dimensions of regulator
Art for model number EC 89 asked on 2018-09-06
Hello Art, Thank you for the question. Judging by the 1 inch grid this regulator is just over 3" long. Hope this helps!
How did you screw this on? The knob hits against the tank when you try to screw it on? The old one came apart and made it smaller so it would screw off without hitting the tank or the compressor handle.
