Product Description ?

This part come directly from Presto. The Tru Indicator is used on mane models of Presto Caners and Pressure Cookers. This part is used as a regulator as well as indicating the pressure inside caners and pressure cookers. The black indicator will pop up as pressure builds in the pot. The indicator has three lines to indicate 5lbs, 10lbs, and 15lbs of pressure. This part should be replaced if the indicator no longer rises with pressure. No tools are needed to replace this part.

  • 1960s cooker replacement parts found.
What I thought would be impossible to get for my 1960s Presto pressure cooker was made possible when I worked with a lovely lady in Canada who patiently found just the three parts I needed. My order arrived in shorter time than anticipated. Now I can continue to prepare my meals in my grandmother’s cooker . Thank you ereplacementparts!!

    pressure cooker
I ordered parts for a 6 quart pressure cooker that had been in my attic. It is probably 60 years old. The rubber sealer fit like a glove. The pressure indicator works as well. I'm so happy I was able to restore it.

Remove the new Pressure Cooker/Canner Pressure-Tru Indicator from the box and use it the next time the pressure cooker is to be used. If you can take the old one off (with no tools), you can install the new one. I haven't tried it out yet, though.

I REMOVED THE OLD AIR VENT AND CLEANED THE AREA. I DID THE SAME WITH THE SEAL RING AND CLEANED THE AREA USING A KNIFE, STEEL WOOL, AND A Q-TIP. AFTER CLEANING, I FIT THE AIR VENT IN THE TOP AND MAKE SURE IT IS WELL PLACED. I DID THE SAME WITH THE SEAL RING AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE TOP MAKING SURE IT IS WELL SEATED. I TESTED THE RING BY PLACING THE TOP ON AND OFF THE BASE 3 TIMES CHECKING EACH TIME TO MAKE SURE THE SEAL RING STAYED IN PLACE.
