Two speed selector lever broke. I cannot believe a manufacturer would put a plastic selector in a hammer drill.

Disassembled gear box from drill body.
Removed broken selector and springs from inside gear box.
Checked for further damage and verified that all else was in good shape.
Replaced selector and reassembled drill
Very straight forward repair with the exception of the special head screws

The drill does not turn. I hear the motor running just fine, but the tip does not turn unless it is held at a certain angle.

It turns out the speed shift plate was broken. Using the screw driver, remove 4 screws from the front gear box assembly. Replace the speed shift plate. The pin goes in the groove in the middle of the big gear that slides forward and back.
