I wished I had been an octopus
Part was in great condition but with the metal sleve inside the connection area, unlike the original part that had no such collar, the installation was a continuous struggle of trying to get the part aligned properly with the vacuum's framework opening. I needed a few more hands to make it go together smoothly but eventually I was able to get the part aligned in all directions and tightened.
As I use this tool strictly as a vacuum, I never plan to disconnect the suction pipe from the unit as I don't ever want to have to put the part back in place again.

The old vacuum tube was worn from the inside and would not attach to the blower correctly.

The installation of the new vacuum tube was easy. I was especially pleased that the replacement tube features a metal insert to prevent the wear that occurred in the original.
