The bearing was frozen, which caused the cup to stop spinning freely, which caused the cup to break off..

1. Removed the bolt.
2. Removed the bearing.
3. Lubricated and reinstalled the bearing.
4. Installed the new cup.
5. Put the bolt back on.

1. I thought just the replacement cup was needed. Not so.
2. Ordered new bearing and bolt. Still not enough parts.
3. Ordered bearing cover. That was the one lacking.

Replaced all of the above and it\'s working as it should. The down side is I lost a week in each re-order of parts.

Removed the remains of the old cup by removing the bolt that holds it on.
Put new cup on motor shaft and then inserted the bold and tightened.

Took out the old one.
Replaced it with the new one.
Placed my bearing and retainer clip on the new mow ball.
Adjusted carrier plate to proper height and replaced mow ball assembly.

Very easy to do, The parts ordered were just what I needed. They were here
in a timely manner. Very happy customer.

The online exploded view showed how the assembly came apart and in the end it was a piece of cake. Reassembly was simple and the whole repair took less than 15 minutes.
