This part is an OEM from Penn for use in spinning reels. The teflon drag washer fits between the keyed drag washer and the spool. A screwdriver may be required to replace this item if it becomes broken or ripped. This part is available as an individual replacement.
Followed exploded diagram from on-line diagram. Added a drop of oil to both fiber washers, seated all the metal washers, replaced retaining ring and adjustment knob. Tested drag, tension was perfect.
Printed off a copy of the reel schematic to observe the proper sequence of washers. Popped out the retaining ring. Removed the incorrect washers. Cleaned out the washer housing good to remove any grit. Lined up the new washers in the same sequence. Applied a very light coat of reel grease to the metal washers only and installed all w
