This part is an OEM from Penn. The (keyed small dia.) drag washer is made for use with several spinning reels. The metal washer is fitted with other washers, helping to secure the shaft assembly in the spool. This component is sold individually. A screwdriver is required for the installation.
Followed exploded diagram from on-line diagram. Added a drop of oil to both fiber washers, seated all the metal washers, replaced retaining ring and adjustment knob. Tested drag, tension was perfect.
