Product Description

?

This friction drag washer is a genuine OEM component which is made for use with Penn fishing reels. The purpose of this part is to provide a tight seal between components of the drag mechanism. If the fish pulls on the line hard enough, the reel will rotate backwards, letting the line out and preventing the line from breaking. Over time the friction drag washer will wear out and it may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. Check the diagram for your model to ensure the exact location and the correct application. You may need a screwdriver to take the reel apart when performing this repair.

1. I replaced the 2 Friction Drag Washers with the metal washers and the retaining ring and the drag works great.
2. If you take the drag washers out make sure you know the order they need to be in when you put it back together!
