To replace the oil filter, use a filter wrench or pipe wrench to twist the old filter counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the sealing surface on the oil filter adapter to remove any debris or residue. Lightly oil the gasket on the new filter with clean engine oil, then screw it in by hand until the gasket makes contact with the adapter. Finally, tighten the filter an additional half to three-quarters of a turn to ensure a secure seal.

1 Drained the oil
2 Had to remove oil filter to get more room. (glad I decide to get an new oil filter too)
3 Use a large deep socket to loosen the oil switch, after that it was very easy to remove

Typical oil and filter maintenance is not complicated but doing it myself saves on mechanical fees. Also, hauling heavy equipment to and from a repair shop is not convenient.

Nothing complicated. Just needed to remove the back heat shield panel to get to the spark plug and have ~3\" extension for the socket to get to the spark plug. Everything else was easily accessible. Spent more time cleaning the mold grime off of the generator than anything else.
