This is a Genuine OEM replacement part used on Poulan Gas Chainsaws. This item is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually. A centrifugal clutch is a part that uses centrifugal force to connect two concentric shafts, with the driving shaft nested inside the driven shaft. Today's centrifugal clutches will function even when they shouldn't, far beyond the point of when they need to be replaced. Keeping an eye on equipment performance will determine when the centrifugal clutch requires attention. Please note Clutch Drums is Sold Separately. To replace this item you would need a Wrench and Pliers.

Removed, cover and chain.
Removed c-clip retaining clutch drum and removed the drum.
Removed clutch assembly (left-hand threads !) by tapping it with the hammer and brass punch.
Removed the large clutch washer and replaced it with the new washer and clutch assembly.

Removed the c-clip, washer and sprocket, removed the broken clutch. Screwed the new assy clutch on tightened it with a pliers and then I put the clutch cover on and used a socket to tighten the nuts down that hold the cover on. The Parts were exactly what i needed. Easy 10 minute fix it went good. Thank you

With a screwdriver and hammer, strike the edge of the clutch in a clockwise motion until it is loose on the shaft. Remove the old clutch , then install the new clutch, tapping it with the hammer and screwdriver in a counterclockwise motion. Start replacing all of the parts that were removed from the saw ion reverse order. And don\'t forget about the spark plug. For the filter, simply remove the filter cover and remove the old filter and replace it with the new one, then replace the cover.

Chain would not turn - the drive gear teeth were worn and needed replacing
Removed cover. Removed spark plug. Rotated piston just short of TDC. Inserted nylon rope into spark plug hole to stop piston from moving. Used a hammer and punch to unthread the clutch (clockwise - reverse threads). Threaded on new clutch and reinstalled new clutch housing, washers, etc. Reinstalled spark plug and cover.

Spring broken in the clutch, fuel cap was hard to open,starter pulley had broken.
Remove starter pulley cover, remove pulley rope, replace with new starter pulley .
remove top cover to the spark plug, remove spark plug, put small rope into the cycled, move the clutch till it stop. use a screwdriver an a hammer tap the clutch to loosen it. clean with brake cleaner. let it dry. put back together starter it up. wor

I removed the spark plug and inserted cotton cord into cylinder, turned clutch clockwise until snug, then used a hammer and drift to loosen clutch, replaced with new parts.
