Screwdriver, Pliers, hammer

Take the saw blade off.
remove saw blade guard bracket on side of guard , the one with the slot in it.
this will allow you to move the guard up and out of the way to remove the three allen screws that hold the motor on.
Remove Philips screws around the body of the case and work it off the motor housing, this will expose the shaft assembly with bearing and bushing to be replaced.
clean and remove snap ring. use snap ring pliers . This is to remove the bearing. Tap a knife behind the bearing and work it off .You can use two knifes to do this. Warm up the new bearing to 160 degrees.on stove . this will let you slide the bearing on the shaft. BE SURE TO PUT SHIM IN WHERE IT CAME FROM.Some side movement can be removed with a thicker shim. we are only talking about .002 or so. it doesn't take much to get side movement on the blade.
the small bronze bushing just slides off and the other new bushing slides on. Put some grease on the inside of the bronze bushing when putting the new bushing on. Put some grease on the gear after cleaning it and reassemble. Be sure that the snap ring is in place. I hope this is helpful to some one. Just so you know I replaced the bearing and bushing at the same time as should you. This did make a difference but still didn't fix all of the blade movement. I am going to put another shim be hind the bearing. I am going to get the shim at the hard ware store hopefully.Good luck with your saw.
